In Memory of Katie

Final Say will be playing at this Sunday’s Light the Night Walk in Glenview in Memory of Katie Immel.

Katie was diagnosed with AML in December, 2008.  She was enjoying life, living in Chicago, working at The Weather Channel and planning an August, 2009 wedding (which included Spoken Four as the wedding band).  Katie passed away 8 months later, two weeks after her 25th birthday and two weeks before what would have been her wedding day.

During her life, Katie enjoyed sports – both playing and watching.  She went to State for Cross Country in high school and went on to run at Carthage College.  She loved living in Chicago – the restaurants, shopping and nightlife.  Katie had no problem adjusting to big city life although never changed her allegiance to Wisconsin sports teams.  Most importantly, Katie loved her family and friends.  She always looked forward to coming home or meeting up with friends.  She is missed every day.
